2023 Commissioner Election

There will be one full term position on the ballot in April 2023 Park District Commissioners serve a term of six years without compensation. Filing for candidacy requires collecting the necessary number of signatures of registered voters in the Foss Park District on the petitions for nomination, completing and filing a statement of economic interest and filing a statement of candidacy.
Candidates seeking election as a Foss Park District Commissioner may pick up nomination papers at the Community Recreation Center, 1730 Lewis Avenue, North Chicago, IL beginning at 9:00 am on Monday, September 19, 2020 during business hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Petitions can begin circulation on Tuesday, September 22, 2022.
Candidates may file nomination packets December 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 19, 2022, during business hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
